Happy hour roundup

It’s all OBL, all the time, in today’s roundup.

The best headline I’ve seen so far goes to Jeffrey Goldberg: “A Great Day for Islam.”

Ross Douthat’s column on fear and terrorism is excellent.

Last night’s White House briefing makes for great reading, especially in conjunction with various TV correspondents’ breathless scoops late last night (which turn out to be basically word-for-word straight from the briefing). See also today’s briefing with John Brennan.

But for value added from a reporter, see Marc Ambinder’s excellent reported story.

Big-picture thoughts from Mark Lynch and Fred Kaplan.

And Harold Pollack wants to reflect, not celebrate. I see his point, but in a lighter spirit I have some requests.

What else is everyone reading?
