Occupy Wall Street book coming in December

OR Books said “Occupying Wall Street: The Inside Story of an Action that Changed America” will be written by Writers for the 99%, a group of writers and researchers who are actively supporting the movement.

“Though in no sense an authorized account, ‘Occupying Wall Street’draws on extensive interviews with those taking part in the action, to bring an authentic, inside-the-square history to life,” the publisher said on its website

OR Books co-founder Colin Robinson told New York Magazine that his personal history as a protester qualifies him well for publishing the book.

“I occupied my high school in 1968 to be able to grow our hair and smoke,” he said. “Driving by there now, it looks like it worked.”

Steven Levingston is the nonfiction editor of The Washington Post. He is author of “Little Demon in the City of Light: A True Story of Murder and Mesmerism in Belle Époque Paris” (Doubleday, 2014) and “The Kennedy Baby: The Loss that Transformed JFK” (Washington Post eBook, 2013).
