At 10 a.m. — The Commerce Department releases wholesale inventories data for February. Analysts surveyed by Reuters expected sales to rise by 1 percent.

At 10 a.m. — Former Canadian prime minister Paul Martin participates in panel discussion at Brookings Institution on “The G20 and Prospects for International Cooperation on Economic and Security Challenges.”

At 11 a.m. — The World Bank holds a briefing on “World Development Report 2011: Conflict, Security and Development,” with Justin Yifu Lin, senior vice president and chief economist of the World Bank; and Sarah Cliffe and Nigel Roberts, directors of the World Bank.
