Trump bows out of GOP presidential run

Donald Trump has finally announced what we knew all along. He’s not running for president. He swears he could win the nomination and beat President Obama for the privilege of sitting in the Oval Office. But Trump isn’t going for it. Good.

Trump played Republican primary voters for fools and debased American political discourse by poll vaulting to the top of the GOP field by embracing the racist birther conspiracy theory against Obama. I’ll have more to say in a bit, but it can be boiled down to this: Good riddance.
