Politics is a passion. But fashion is my guilty pleasure. There’s nothing like a man in a great suit or a dame all decked out in a fabulous outfit. And as a Washingtonian magazine “style setter,” I feel emboldened to pass judgment on other people’s apparel choices. Remember Tampa  and Charlotte? All in good fun, of course.

So, I raked my critical eyes over the highs and lows of the year in political fashion for 2012. Who made my cut? Which of their sartorial choices got the thumbs up or thumbs down?
