This was an amazing week. President Obama started it with a press conference smacking around Republicans over the debt ceiling. He ended the week smacking around folks standing in the way of common-sense gun control. The NRA ran an ad that broke all protocol and targeted the Obama girls in the national gun debate. And Sen. Rand Paul said he would try to nullify the president’s executive orders on gun control.

Meanwhile, Justice Clarence Thomas apparently spoke in open court for the first time since Feb. 22, 2006. Lance Armstrong told Oprah, in essence, “I’m a dope.”And we learned that Notre Dame’s Manti Te’o had a fake girlfriend. Thank goodness we have the Martin Luther King holiday weekend to figure that mess of a story out. In the meantime, sharpen your pixels and get crackin’.
