Based on the pre-interview notes for my appearance on “Hardball with Chris Matthews” last night, I quickly created a cheat sheet on my tablet of my thoughts on “Bridgegate” and the travails of Gov. Chris Christie.

The one thought that piqued my interest was the producer’s view that there are two levels to the George Washington Bridge traffic scandal. Those who conspired to make it happen and those who tried to cover it up. But as my op-note shows, the two levels ought to be thought of as two circles with high-level overlap.
