UPDATE: Cain suspends presidential campaign

Embattled presidential candidate Herman Cain is expected to announce whether he will continue his campaign in the wake of an accusation that he conducted a 13-year extramarital affair.

This event was scheduled to be the ribbon-cutting for Cain’s national headquarters here, but recent allegations of infidelity leveled against the Republican hopeful and comments from the candidate that he is “reassessing” his political plans have led to speculation that he will be exiting the race.

Election2012’s Sandhya Somashekhar reported that the mood was upbeat at Cain headquarters in Atlanta this morning.
