Obama to speak on student loans, Romney to NALEO | June 21 schedules

Mitt Romney travels to Florida on Wednesday to deliver to the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials’ Annual Conference a much-hyped speech that could shed light on his position on immigration reform.

Meanwhile, President Obama will give a speech from the East Room urging Congress to take action to prevent allowing student loan interest rates to double, as they are set to do on July 1.

Obama campaign

11:30 a.m.: The vice president will host an event to launch a new Public Service Announcement (PSA) at the White House

1:40 p.m.: The president will call on Congress to stop interest rates on student loans from doubling on July 1

Romney campaign

Noon: Mitt Romney delivers remarks at the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials’ Annual Conference in Lake Buena Vista, FL
