Republican Debate: Where and when to watch

The 2012 Republican candidates debate for the fourth time this month Thursday night in North Charleston, S.C.

CNN and the Southern Republican Leadership Conference will host the two-hour debate beginning at 8 p.m. ET at the North Charleston Coliseum.

Where can I watch the debate?

CNN will broadcast the debate and, as usual, The Fix will host a live chat throughout the debate starting at 7:30 p.m. Felicia Sonmez will live-blog all the events starting about 7:30 p.m. in Election 2012.

Who is participating?

Former House speaker Newt Gingrich (Ga.), Rep. Ron Paul (Tex.), former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney and former U.S. Sen Rick Santorum (Pa.).

Gov. Rick Perry (Tex.) was slated to participate before he susupended his campaign and endorsed Gingrich Thursday morning.

Who will moderate the debate?

CNN anchor John King will moderate the debate.

The Post’s Jennifer Rubin contends that King needs to “rehabilitate his own reputation” after she panned his previous performance as moderator. That debate, in June, is included the infamous “this or that” round of questioning.

How do I follow the debate on social media?

CNN recommends using the hashtag #CNNDebate on Twitter. Users can go to the CNN Politics Facebook page or use this form to submit questions for the candidates.
