House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) will join Mitt Romney at two campaign events in Wisconsin on Saturday, one day after announcing his endorsement of the former Massachusetts governor’s GOP presidential bid.
Ryan will attend a town hall meeting with Romney in Muskego at 12:25 p.m.Central Time on Saturday. He is then expected to join Romney in dropping by a Fitchburg phone bank for Scott Walker, the embattled Wisconsin governor who is facing a recall election on June 5.
Romney, former senator Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) and former House speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) are campaigning Friday and Saturday in the Badger State, which holds its primary on Tuesday along with Maryland and the District.
The April 3 primaries will mark the last contests until April 24 — when Connecticut, Delaware, New York, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island vote — upping the stakes of the Wisconsin battle.
