The former Florida governor will speak at the Democratic National Convention next week, multiple news organizations have confirmed. The day is not set yet. Crist, who left the GOP in 2010 to run for Senate as an independent, endorsed Obama in a Tampa Bay Times editorial this weekend.
Like former Rep. Artur Davis, who left the Democratic Party and will speak at the RNC, Crist is being embraced by his old rivals as a truth-teller and dismissed by his old party as a political opportunist.
