Compromise with Paul supporters might not stop floor fight

Top Republican National Committee officials have reached a deal with Ron Paul supporters and Texas delegates over a controversial change to the party’s rules that would give the presidential nominee final say on individual state delegates.

But significant unrest remains over a couple of other issues — including the seating of the Maine delegation and a new rule binding delegates to the results of a statewide vote — and some RNC members said they will take their grievances to the floor of the convention.
