Left out of the RNC: ‘Tea Party’

BuzzFeed's Rosie Gray observes that two words have not been uttered by any of the 38 primetime speakers at the Republican National Convention thus far: "Tea Party."

It's a striking absence for a movement that has grown from a series of protests to a legitimate faction of the Republican Party, with many representatives in Congress and in state governments.

Other notable absences from the convention stage: House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) and many white southerners.
