Silent protest from Paul supporter

August 30, 2012

Ron Paul supporter who's sitting with delegation has duct tape over mouth. Scrawled on the tape: "Rule 12." He's J. W. Martin, 25, a delegate from Marion, Va., who does pr for a motor speedway. He said rule 12 "allows the establishment to pick the delegates. We believe Virginia knows how to pick the delegates, not some kingmakers."

He and some others also wore black arm bands like those for POWs, with
Paul's profile in the center.

Rule 12 allows the party to change regulations between conventions. Another controversial rule adopted, Rule 15 restricted the delegate-nominating system.
