Clint Eastwood will not have anything to say today about his much-buzzed-about Republican National convention speech – nor any time soon, his long-time manager told us today.
The Hollywood legend was traveling back from Florida, unavailable for interview requests or comment. But after that, his next comments to press won’t come until he’s doing promotion for his next movie, “The Trouble with the Curve,” opening Sept. 21, said Leonard Hirshan.
“He’s busy selling that and not talking to anybody,” said Hirshan, who emphasized that “nobody speaks for Mr. Eastwood” but Eastwood himself, who does not have a publicist. The media black-out has nothing to do with Thursday night’s speech but “was established weeks ago,” he added.
And when he does talk? “He’s speaking about the picture – not everything else.”
