Charlotte area storms possible on Thursday

Democratic officials have said President Obama's planned Thursday address in Charlotte's Bank of America Stadium will go ahead rain or shine unless there is severe weather. At the moment, thunderstorms are not out of the queston for Thursday. The Associated Press:

The National Weather Service says there is a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms Thursday night, but forecasters said it’s impossible to pinpoint when and where storms will materialize. Obama is scheduled to speak around 10:30 p.m. at Bank of America Stadium.
