Big shot donors packed like sardines

If you look around the Time Warner Cable Arena above the electric blue ticker circling the convention floor, you can see a whole lot of VIP suites packed to the rafters with people.

Why?

Because there was a lot more VIP real estate at Bank of America Stadium, where Thursday night's festivities were supposed to take place before the threat of severe weather moved the evening indoors.

The end result was a lot of last-minute shuffling that shoved a lot of finance committee bigwigs into a lot fewer skyboxes.

But they do have beer.
