One of the three convention speakers billed as “former employees of companies controlled by Bain Capital” never actually worked for a company run by Bain.
David Foster said Wednesday night that Mitt Romney’s private equity firm drove Kansas City’s GST Steel into bankruptcy. “We don’t need a president who fires steelworkers,” he said.
But Foster wasn’t actually one of those steelworkers. ABC News points out that he’s actually a union organizer who negotiated on behalf of GST Steel workers.
