Obama and Paul Ryan agree (on NFL lockout)

September 25, 2012

President Obama has taken a bold stand in favor of good football -- putting him on the same side as Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan.

"I mean, give me a break! It is time to get the real refs," Packers fan Ryan told a crowd in Ohio on Tuesday. Of course, he went on to say, "And you know what? It reminds me of President Obama and the economy. If you can't get it right, it's time to get out."

For those who don't watch football and aren't friends with any aggrieved Wisconsinites, the NFL is currently employing replacement referees during a lockout of professional refs. Those replacements made a highly-disputed call in Monday night's game between the Green Bay Packers and the Seattle Seahawks, giving the Seahawks the win.
