Sen. Marco Rubio’s 12-year-old daughter, Amanda, was released from Miami Children’s Hospital Sunday evening after a golf cart accident Saturday.
“She is recuperating from a concussion,” Rubio spokesman Alex Conant said in a statement. “Her condition has stabilized and should improve in the coming days. “Her prognosis is good and she is expected to make a full recovery.”
The accident occurred in a private gated community. Amanda, the eldest of Rubio’s four children, was a passenger in the golf cart.
“Senator and Mrs. Rubio are grateful for the many messages of support and prayers for their daughter,” Conant added. “And grateful to the Miami Dade Fire Department and the staff at the Pediatric Trauma Center at Miami Children’s Hospital for their excellent care.”
