Obama camp to match GOP in every state

President Obama's campaign is going on the air in Michigan, where the Mitt Romney-backing super PAC Restore Our Future just placed a $1.6 million buy.

"We’re matching states where they go up," and Obama campaign aide said. "We're not going to let them make a play anywhere."

Both Obama and Romney are now on the air in Pennsylvania, another state where Democrats are favored. With airwaves in battlegrounds saturated, both sides can afford to compete in less contested territory.

The Romney campaign has had two events in Michigan over the past month -- one held by Ann Romney and one with Rep. Paul Ryan. Obama's campaign has had none. Democrats have been more active in Pennsylvania; Jill Biden went on a seven-city tour of the state.
