Poll: Dead heat in Colorado

A new CNN poll reminds us of the very tight race in Colorado, with President Obama edging out Mitt Romney among likely voters 50 percent to 48 percent.

The survey shows a large gender gap, with Obama winning women by 13 points and Romney winning men by 10. Recent Quinnipiac polls from Florida and Virginia found the gender gap closing in those states.

The Fix recently rated Colorado, with its nine electoral votes, as the closest swing state in the country. In the past 30 days, Romney has visited seven times, Obama four. Romney's running mate, Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, was there today.
