Romney camp responds to Ohio rumors

Mitt Romney is set to conclude his White House campaign in the same place where he began it on a sunny Thursday last June -- the battleground state of New Hampshire.

Or is he?

As the former Massachusetts governor kicked off the first event of an 18-hour day on the road, rumors swirled that the campaign's expected final stop -- a late-night homecoming rally of sorts in Manchester, N.H., headlined by Mitt and Ann Romney as well as musician Kid Rock -- might not be the last one after all, and that an Election Day trip to Ohio was in the works.

Romney's aides would not divulge the candidate's plans.

"We'll advise a schedule and until then, we don't have anything," Romney senior adviser Kevin Madden said.

The visit -- if it indeed happens -- would round out a furious final sprint during which Romney is set to hold five events Monday in four states, including the country's biggest electoral prizes of Virginia and Florida as well as Ohio.
