Even Bruce Springsteen would lose to Chris Christie

November 30, 2012

How popular is New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie right now? In an automated survey, the Democratic firm Public Policy Polling finds that Garden State legend Bruce Springsteen trails the governor in a hypothetical matchup, 61 percent to 25 percent.

Sixty-seven percent of New Jersey voters approve of the job Christie's doing; only 25 percent disapprove. (The Boss' favorability rating: 54 percent to 23 percent.)

Unknown: How many people would like Christie — a huge Springsteen fan — to pursue a second career as a rock star.
