November isn't even over, but the American Petroleum Institute is on the air with ads asking senators to "choose economic growth and American jobs, not slow them with job-killing energy taxes."

The Sunlight Foundation tracked down the ads. Each one targets a potentially vulnerable Democrat up for reelection in 2014: Sens. Mark Begich (Alaska), Kay Hagen (N.C.), Mary Landrieu (La.) Mark Warner (Va.), Mark Pryor, (Ark.), Mark Udall (Colo.) and Tom Udall (N.M.)
