Eric Holder going to Newtown

Attorney General Eric Holder will travel to Newtown, Conn. on Thursday to meet with law enforcement officials and investigators, according to a Justice Department official.

There will be no public events, and Holder is not expected to speak to the media.

Holder will travel to Newtown after meeting at the White House with Vice President Biden, who is leading the administration's efforts to deal with gun violence.
