Obama pauses to take in the crowds

President Obama lingered in the entryway of the Capitol as he left his final swearing-in ceremony.

"I'm not going to see this again," he said. Obama's rise to the presidency was marked by speeches to huge crowds, though less massive in his second campaign. Monday's event, while far smaller than the 2009 inauguration, still drew several hundred thousand people. Here's a good shot of the view from the capitol.

It's actually not likely to be the last time Obama will see the same view from the west front steps of the Capitol: He will see it in four years if attends his successor's inauguration.
