Wondering how folks feel about me running in N.J. under GOP banner against either Lautenberg or Booker for U.S. Senate?

Media personality Geraldo Rivera said Thursday he’s considering running for the Senate in New Jersey as a Republican.
“I’ve been in touch with some people in the Republican Party in New Jersey. I am truly contemplating running for Senate against [Sen.] Frank Lautenberg or [Newark Mayor] Cory Booker,” Rivera said on his radio show Thursday, The Hill reported.
He also tweeted: “Wondering how folks feel about me running in N.J. under GOP banner against either Lautenberg or Booker for U.S. Senate?”
Booker is exploring a Senate run while Lautenberg hasn’t said whether he is running for reelection. Whoever the Democratic nominee is would likely begin the general election as a heavy favorite over the GOP nominee, given the state’s Democratic tilt.
Rivera hosts “Geraldo At Large” on Fox News Channel as well as a weekday radio show.
