Graham challenges Hagel to name names

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) needled Chuck Hagel on his comments about the "Jewish lobby," challenging the former Nebraska senator to name any "dumb policy" voted on or senator intimidated by advocates for Israel.

“The political reality is that you intimidate, not you — that the Jewish lobby intimidates a lot of people up here. Again, I have always argued against some of the dumb things they do because I don’t think it’s in the interest of Israel," Hagel told a writer in 2008

"Name one person who is intimidated by the Jewish lobby," Graham insisted. Hagel ducked, saying he was not speaking of any particular lawmaker and that he has already apologized for his words.

Graham pressed on, asking Hagel to "name one dumb thing we've been goaded into doing by the Israeli, Jewish lobby."

"I don't know," Hagel responded, again resisting any specifics.

"Then why did you say it?" Graham asked.
