Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is having moment in the national spotlight, underscored by his selection to deliver the Republican response to President Obama’s State of the Union.
Rubio also is featured on Time magazine’s cover this week, with the headline “the Republican savior.”
But even as his celebrity within his party rises, that phrase went too far for Rubio, a Catholic who often talks about his faith. He responded to the cover story in a tweet Wednesday morning:
