Vice President Biden and several other lawmakers are sporting green ribbons on their lapels in solidarity with victims of the Newtown, Conn., school shooting.

Other lawmakers, including Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.), are also wearing green ribbons, while others still are wearing white or black ribbons, the colors of choice for two other gun-control advocacy groups, Mayors Against Illegal Guns and the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.
