Obama ribbon-cutting joke flops

While touting investments in infrastructure during his State of the Union, President Obama ribbed members of Congress: "I know you want those job-creating projects, I've seen you all at ribbon-cuttings."  There was scattered, halting laughter.

As Brad Dayspring, a former spokesman for House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) was quick to point out:

The bad Obama joke is something of a tradition -- last year it was his crack about crying over spilled milk. (He was making a point about outdated regulations.)
