Gawker publishes George W. Bush’s email address

The media and gossip blog Gawker has published George W. Bush's email address, encouraging readers to send a message to the former president on the 10th anniversary of the war in Iraq.

Gawker editor John Cook found the email address in a screenshot of Bush family email correspondence that was published by a hacker last month. Those exchanges are best known for exposing images of some oil paintings Bush has produced in recent years, including two self-portraits. The same hacker, known as "Guccifer," has reportedly broken into the email of former Clinton aide Sidney Blumenthal.

Cook has previously published the personal cellphone numbers of Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein and Citigroup CEO Vikram Pandit. Both Gawker and a Bush family spokesman declined to comment.
