Mark Sanford sworn in

Former South Carolina governor Mark Sanford was sworn in as a congressman Wednesday, a little over a week after winning a special election for his state's 1st district.

Sanford replaces Republican Tim Scott, who was appointed to the Senate by Gov. Nikki Haley (R).

His fiancee, Maria Belen Chapur, attended the ceremony.
