In a pretty big sign that former congressman Anthony Weiner is planning to run for mayor of New York City, NBC News caught him and wife Huma Abedin filming a video on the stoop of his childhood home.
A recent poll suggests Weiner would start the race in second place. But he's already well-known and his unfavorables are high, so he path to the Democratic nomination is unclear. And he's reportedly having difficulty recruiting staffers for his bid. But the video shoot is a good sign that he is forging ahead.
Meanwhile, Democratic front-runner Christine Quinn appears to be trying to soften her own image, opening up about her past bulimia and alcoholism and sharing an excerpt from her forthcoming memoir in Vogue.
