NRSC narrowly edges out DSCC in April fundraising

The National Republican Senatorial Committee narrowly outraised the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee in the month of April, hauling in $3.56 million to the  DSCC's $3.54 million.

It's the first month the NRSC has won this cycle, though the difference was small. The NRSC said it ended the period with about $7 million in the bank, while the DSCC ended with $8.6 million in the bank.

Neither committee disclosed the level of debt it was carrying. At the end of March, the DSCC had $15 million worth of debt, while the NRSC was carrying $9.5 million, campaign finance reports show.

Senate Republicans need to pick up six seats this cycle to win back the majority.
