Ex-Rep. Allen West: Holder is bigger threat than al-Qaeda

Former congressman Allen West (R-Fla.) says Attorney General Eric Holder is more dangerous than al-Qaeda.

In a new fundraising e-mail for his political action committee, the Allen West Guardian Fund, West pictures Holder next to al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri and then asks which is scarier.

He then argues that the answer is Holder.

"...I'll tell you flat out -- Eric Holder is a bigger threat to our Republic for the very reasons Cicero contemplated over 2,000 years ago," West wrote. "Al-Qaeda is a very serious and persistent threat, but I trust the U.S. military to protect us from future attacks. I cannot say the same about President Obama and his Justice Department."

West, who was defeated in 2012 after one term, was often one of the most outspoken conservatives in the House. Since his exit, he has pledged to remain politically involved, sending regular fundraising e-mails featuring bold claims and fiery rhetoric.
