Mitt Romney is continuing his transition back into the political sphere with his first fundraising appearance since the 2012 election.

The former Massachusetts governor will headline a fundraiser for the New Hampshire Republican Party on Aug. 6 in the Lakes Region, near the home he owns in Wolfeboro.

An exact location will be announced later this week. The event was first reported by WMUR.

The chairwoman of the New Hampshire Republican State Committee, Jennifer Horn, supported Romney in the 2012 GOP primary.

In June, Romney hosted a retreat in Utah where top Republican politicians and donors played golf, shot skeet and discussed ideas. He donated $5,200 to Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), his former running mate, this past quarter.
