Back in May, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) visited Donald Trump at his office in New York, the first time the two had met. That trip appears to have paid off. The media mogul donated $5,200 to McConnell's campaign in May, according to FEC records.

Trump gave $2,600 to McConnell's primary campaign and $2,600 to his general election fund, the legal limit for an individual donor.

McConnell will likely face Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes (D) next fall.

The Fix has more on this quarter's fundraising winners and losers.
