Spitzer: Weiner shouldn’t be mayor

After previously declining to cast judgment on Anthony Weiner's foibles, Eliot Spitzer said Monday that Weiner should not be mayor of New York City.

During an interview with MSNBC's "Hardball with Chris Matthews," Spitzer declined to say who he was going to vote for in the mayor's race, which is up the ballot from his comptroller's contest.

Eventually, Matthews asked him if he thought Weiner should not be mayor.

"That is correct," Spitzer relented.
