Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.) had some tough words for his GOP colleagues who voted against bringing the budget to a vote in the Senate today.
Filibustering such a bill is not only the height of hypocrisy, but also lays bare for the world the hollowness of this so-called strategy.

Nineteen of 46 Senate Republicans wound up voting against cloture -- a strategy led by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) to prevent Democrats from restoring Obamacare funding to the bill. They eventually did, and the bill passed on a party-line vote.
Burr, of course, has used blunt language on this topic before. Two months ago, he called risking a government shutdown over defunding Obamacare the "dumbest idea I've ever heard."
