A Democratic senator said in an interview Wednesday that "somebody ought to get fired" over the flawed rollout of the Web site for President Obama's new health-care law.

"It's inexcusable," Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) told a local ABC affiliate. "Somebody ought to get fired."

Asked whether he meant Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius, Nelson said no.

"They should wait and get the thing up and running, and then determine — and let somebody be accountable," Nelson said. "That's the problem with government today; people are not being held to account."

As problems with the Web site have come to light in recent weeks, even some Democrats have begun calling on the Obama administration to change course.

Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) called Tuesday for extending the open enrollment period for the exchanges and for a clarification on whether the individual mandate will be enforced.
