Congress’s approval rating hits new low: 9 percent

Congress is now in the single digits, according to Gallup.

After seeing its approval rating fall to an all-time low of 10 percent in 2012, Congress has hit an even lower low: 9 percent.

Here's how that looks:


Congressional job approval actually hit a 2013 peak of 19 percent after Congress rebuffed President Obama's request for a use-of-force resolution in Syria.

After the shutdown, that's gone.
