Sebelius won’t say whether she offered to resign

Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius declined to say Friday whether she offered to resign in light of the flawed Web site rollout.

"I'm not going to discuss what I talk about with the president," Sebelius said during an appearance in Miami.

Sebelius's appearance was taped by the Miami Herald's Marc Caputo.

Many Republicans have called for Sebelius's resignation or firing. So far it does not appear that anyone has been fired over the problems with the Obamacare rollout.

Sebelius also declined to say whether the administration's claim that people who liked their insurance could keep it was a "lie." Thar statement was deemed "Lie of the Year" by the fact-checking Web site Politifact on Thursday.

Asked about the administration's claim, Sebelius said the administration worked to make sure people wouldn't lose coverage. Asked whether that claim had been a lie, she ignored the question.
