Republicans on Obamacare: From repeal to revamp to replace?

House Speaker John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) told reporters Thursday to expect a plan from Republicans to replace the Affordable Care Act in the coming weeks.

This came just before the House passed, 259-154, a measure that would require the Obama administration to frequently release data about how many people have signed up for the health exchanges, and to regularly report the problems users are encountering on HealthCare.gov.

The vote is an example of the new approach House Republicans have taken so far this year; in addition to calling for a repeal of Obamacare, they're attempting to tweak the president's signature law.

The lower chamber also passed a bill last week that would require the government to report any breach of personal data on exchange websites.
