Sen. Mark Begich (D-Alaska) raised more than $1 million during the first three months of the year, his campaign announced Tuesday.

The first-term Democrat has about $2.8 million in his campaign account, about the same as what he had at the start of the quarter.

Former attorney general Dan Sullivan, the leading Republican running against Begich, has not released his first-quarter totals. Sullivan outraised Begich in the previous quarter.

As fundraising reports continue to pour in ahead of the April 15 reporting deadline, we'll continue to keep you posted on the notable numbers here on Post Politics. Here's a roundup of the day:

* Sen. John Walsh (D-Mont.) raised nearly $950,000 in the first quarter and ended March with $700,000 in the bank.

* The National Republican Senatorial Committee had its best month of the 2014 cycle in March, pulling in $6.35 million. At month's end, the NRSC had $15.9 million in the bank and no debt.

Sean Sullivan has covered national politics for The Washington Post since 2012.
