Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) on Thursday called for embattled Rep. Vance McAllister (R-La.) to resign, three days after video was released showing the married congressman kissing a staffer.

"Congressman McAllister’s behavior is an embarrassment and he should resign," Jindal said in a statement. "He says he wants privacy to work on his issues with his family. The best way to get privacy and work on putting his family back together is to resign from Congress."

Louisiana Republican Party Chairman Roger Villere has also called for McAllister to step aside, and House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) said earlier that McAllister must think things over.

There was also pressure on Rep. Trey Radel (R-Fla.) to resign after being arrested on cocaine charges. Radel initially resisted the calls but later resigned.
