DCCC outraises NRCC in April by $3 million

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee outraised the National Republican Congressional Committee in April by $3 million.

The NRCC announced Tuesday that it raised $4.1 million in April and ended the month $32.3 million in the bank. The DCCC said Monday that it hauled in $7.1 million in April and banked $43.4 million.

Both committees are debt free.

President Obama is helping both the DCCC and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee raise money this year.

Democrats must pick up 17 seats to win back the House majority this year — a goal that even most Democrats acknowledge is out of their reach.
