Obama to address Iraq situation

President Obama will make a statement about the worsening situation in Iraq Thursday afternoon, the White House announced. His remarks at the White House will follow a meeting with members of his national security team in the Situation Room. Obama has said in recent days that the United States is contemplating how to help the Iraqi government fight off incursions from insurgents throughout the country, and that air strikes and drone strikes are not off the table, though ground troops are. Watch his statement live.
